MILD HEARING LOSS
difficulty hearing very soft speech or speech from a distance. It is harder to hear when there is background noise.
MODERATE HEARING LOSS
frequent difficulty with normal speech even at close distance in noisy environments.
SEVERE HEARING LOSS
A person with severe hearing loss would only hear very loud voices and sounds such as siren, door slamming. Normal conversations can be hardly followed & speech comprehension is very low.
PROFOUND HEARING LOSS
A person with profound hearing loss would experience difficulties in hearing sounds; especially speech, even in quite environment. Speech comprehension is challenging.
